Kathryn Van Norman, RN, LPC
Kate Van Norman is finishing her final semester as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) at The University of Texas at Austin. Kate is also a Licensed Professional Counselor and has been practicing in the Austin area since graduating from The University of Denver in 2016. She has had the privilege of working in a variety of settings such as, Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy, residential treatment centers, substance abuse recovery programs, community-based therapies and has been with a private group for 7 years. She has experience working with all ages and all types of family arrangements. Within these spaces, she has developed her approach to mental health treatment, which is rooted in authenticity, connection, and collaboration between provider and patient.
Having lived in Austin and the surrounding area for 34 years, Kate is familiar with the beauty and vibrant nature the city brings (as well as the allergies). When she isn’t in school or seeing clients, Kate enjoys hiking with her dogs, listening to live music, traveling and eating as much seafood as is humanly possible.
