Elizabeth Akinyemi DNP, APRN FNP-C

Elizabeth Akinyemi is currently pursuing a Post-Master’s Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing at the University of Texas at Austin. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with highest distinction from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2012 and completed the Seton Nurse Residency Program in Austin, TX, before beginning her career as a medical-surgical nurse at Seton Medical Center Williamson.

In 2016, Elizabeth completed her Master of Science in Nursing in the Family Nurse Practitioner track at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi, graduating with honors. She has since gained broad clinical experience in primary care, pediatrics, urgent care, women’s health, weight management, and telemedicine.

She went on to earn her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from Frontier Nursing University in March 2022, where her quality improvement project focused on improving hypertension management through the application of JNC8 guidelines.

Currently, Elizabeth serves as a Virtual Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner. Passionate about patient education and advocacy, she is committed to delivering holistic, evidence-based care to diverse communities.
